Here's how you can use SEMrush to perform a full competition analysis in minutes.
Step 1: Log in to the SEMrush dashboard (grab click here to your free 30-day trial of SEMrush worth $ 99.95) and enter the domain of one of your competitors.
Step 2: SEMrush now gives you the FULL details of the domain you entered, including the organic search, the number of backlinks, the main keywords that drive that domain the most traffic, organic positions, main competitors, the number of pages indexed and a a lot of information.

Step 1: Enter a domain of your competitor.
Step 2: It will now show you the full details of the domain you are entering.
In this example, I'm using QuickSprout and when I enter that domain, SpyFu shows me the information below.
See the screenshot above? It shows me all the information like organic keywords, keywords just made to the first page, click count and paid keywords (if there are any). With that information you can easily analyze how hard your target audience is.
